I've lived all my life here and have bought/sold many properties. I wouldn't imagine the risks here are much different thatn any place else.
right now the market has softened a bit so there are alot of places that have been for sale a while. Prices have stabilized a bit and some price drops have been talked about.
some suggest waiting a few more months for prices to come down a bit.
LOTS of condos for sale as well as well as many new ones under construction. I think many of the speculators who jumped into the market last year will have a tough go of it this year. Many are putting renters in to something they were hoping to flip upon completion.
Personaly, for me, the prices have gotten too high for me in the cities so I'm looking at smaller towns within an hour of the bigger cities....as well as in Saskatchewan.
